PASTING MODEL ELEMENTS INTO A NEW MODEL
There are a few different Paste options for pasting the Model Elements or Model Groups. Note that there may be elements that come in at a different elevation, so the elements need to be carefully reviewed to make sure that they have the correct offset .
Open the Target File
Under the "Modify" menu, select the "Paste" icon.

Paste ”Aligned" to a view or level whenever possible to make it easier to paste Section Cuts, Callouts, Elevation Marks and/or Detail Items in the correct location relative to the Model Elements.
Model elements can only pasted as "Aligned to Current View" in Plan Views. Pasting in other views can often, but not always, be accomplished by pasting "Aligned to Selected Level"
Note that a "Duplicate Types" dialogue box, such as below, might appear. Select "OK"

In addition, there may be several Warnings and/or Errors. Save the warnings so that they can be printed and reviewed:
